The Riptide UC-11NS features a solid Acacia top and laminated Acacia back and sides. Acacia is a close relative to the traditional Koa wood used to make many of the early Island ukuleles. It has the similar beauty and tone of traditional Koa. The satin finish is highlighted with Abalone binding around the soundboard and is accented with a creme binding. A Rosewood fingerboard is mounted over the Mahogany neck. Die Cast tuning machines help keep the Aquila Nyglut strings in tune. This little Concert model sounds as good as it looks.
